The FQHC Board of Directors can be a wonderful tool to help your organization stay connected to the needs of the community and keep your fingers on the pulse of modern healthcare, but if Board members are not all on the same page, or have different visions for the FQHC than you and your team do, they can become very difficult to work with. To put it simply, the role of a forward-facing board that believes in growth, technology, and keeping in step with modern medicine cannot be overstated. As FQHC leaders, you understand the importance of strategic governance in driving the success and sustainability of your organization. You don’t want to burn out a good Board, and you also want to be mindful of you and your team’s work-life balance as well.
