American Medical Billing Association (AMBA) was formed and is targeted toward providing assistance for small and home based professional medical billers with similar needs, interests and goals. AMBA celebrated its 10th Anniversary in serving small, independent Third Party Medical Billers in 2008. The ultimate goal of AMBA is to provide members with medical billing and related resources that enhance knowledge and skills to develop new ideas and technology, collectively increasing and realizing true industry growth and leadership among medical billers and consultants.

Healthcare Billing & Management Association (HBMA) was formed in 1993 by a core group of individuals who had a vision of a forum, rich in resources, to guide their collective efforts towards a highly professional image within the medical community. Over the past decade HBMA has responded to the many challenges facing our industry. No longer does this industry live in a world of super bills and paper claims, but rather in a world of electronic claims and remittance. Technology now rules the world of medical claims processing and HBMA is central to not only managing the adjudication of claims, but the rules that govern the process.

The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) provides its members and the health care community with invaluable medical coding resources, including access to annual medical coding salary surveys, exclusive coding publications, ICD-10 implementation training and premier programs and products. AAPC credentialed coders have proven mastery of all code sets, Evaluation and Management principles and documentation guidelines. CPC’s and other AAPC credentialed coders represent the best in outpatient coding.
